19/07/2008 - Berberov plots another game
Maritsa Plovdiv president Rangel Berberov says he is keen to play Crewe again.
The Alex's recent stay in Sunny Beach was voted a huge success by first-team coach Steve Holland.
Crewe were held to a goalless draw by the Bulgarian Second Division outfit during their six-day training camp in the resort.
Now Berberov, pictured, plans on contacting Crewe again next year to set up a similar meeting.
"We know it is a long way off and who knows where we will all be this time next year, but after Crewe's visit we will keep in contact with them," said Berberov.
"We would be pleased to come over as it would be a very good experience for our players.
"Same time next year I will give them a call and say "Guys, would you like to meet up for a friendly?"
"We will be more than happy as we are doing training camps all around Europe, so it wouldn't be a big problem to get to the UK as well so long as we had someone to play with."
KENNY Lunt is not a summer transfer target, insists Steve Holland, although the former midfielder was allowed to train with his former team-mates this week.
Lunt, who made 14 appearances during a loan stint last season, has been left out of Sheffield Wednesday's Dutch tour.
But while his time at Hillsborough, two years after arriving from Crewe on a free transfer, appears to be over, wages would be a stumbling block.
