26/03/2008 - 4pm update: Lowe hit by injury blow

RYAN Lowe's hopes of winning a place back in Crewe's starting line-up have been dashed by a back injury.

The striker has fallen out of favour at The Alexandra Stadium since the loan arrivals of Dean Morgan and Joe Anyinsah.

But as Morgan is ineligible for this Saturday's trip to his parent club Luton there is a vacancy for a front man alongside Tom Pope and Nicky Maynard.

With Lowe still receiving treatment for the injury, which ruled him out of Crewe's last two games against Hartlepool and Walsall, Byron Moore and Anyinsah come into contention for a start at Kenilworth Road.
