YOUNG striker Junior Brown is being eyed up for a loan stint by UniBond neighbours Nantwich Town.

The 18-year-old, who made his senior Crewe bow at Brighton last month, is likely to join fellow first-year professional Nick Farquharson on loan at The Weaver Stadium.

Farquharson has proved a big hit with the Dabbers, weighing in with eight goals as they aim for promotion to the UniBond Premier Division.

Now Nantwich boss Steve Davis hopes he can persuade the Alex management to allow Crewe-born Brown to further his experience after a recent loan stint at Kidsgrove.
